  • ‘Understanding your baby’ is for everyone around a new baby. This course gives you information about your baby’s brain development and your baby’s physical and emotional development. It shows how important your relationship with the baby is for the baby’s development.

  • ‘Understanding your child’ is for mums and dads and grandparents or anyone around your child. Parents often say they feel calmer, more confident and have a better relationship with their child.

Surrey’s Family Early Help Hub

Have you ever wondered why your child is behaving a certain way? Is that behaviour typical? What could be causing it? Is something wrong? These are common worries for everyone looking after babies, toddlers, children and teenagers. Surrey's Family Help Hub developed by Surrey County Council with lots of help from all our partners, is a site with a difference. You can search for information you need based on your child’s age and find advice, tips and tools from a variety of trusted sources all in one place.

This is a new service that Surrey County Council are developing and only a small section of what is planned long term.
